Mar-a-Lago Raid is Assault on Presidency, Constitution

By Diane Sare

August 9, 2022--I must strongly condemn this raid, not merely as an unwarranted assault on the residence and person of former President Trump but as an assault on the office of the Presidency and on the Constitutionally-guaranteed principle of self-government. This kind of judicial overreach always originates in London, as the August 4 London Guardian Op Ed by American writers Tribe and Aftergut indicates, and as experienced by those of us who worked on any of Lyndon LaRouche’s eight presidential campaigns. The British Empire has never accepted the American Revolution, and particularly since the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, has deployed its lackeys at the Justice and State Departments, and in the FBI, to return us to our colonial identity, particularly by undermining the Constitutional institution of the Presidency. While former President Trump is a target, this is not merely about him personally, but about the institution of the Presidency, which is why this raid on his home is so outrageous.

This recent action by the FBI is one of many attacks on our Constitutional Republic, which include the recent issuance of a blacklist by the Senator Schumer-funded, State Department-backed Ukrainian ‘Center to Counter Disinformation” targeting 72 international figures, starting with 30 individuals who have spoken at conferences convened by the Schiller Institute, founded by LaRouche’s widow Helga Zepp-LaRouche. Several of us on the list are now, or have been candidates for federal office in the United States. This includes myself, Democratic Congressional nominee Geoff Young and U.S. Senator Rand Paul, both of Kentucky, and former US Congresswoman and presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard. As former U.S. Marine Intelligence Officer Scott Ritter, also blacklisted, has so forcefully stated, Senator Chuck Schumer and other representatives have voted to fund foreign organizations which are actually interfering in the American electoral process by defaming and threatening candidates!

Over 35 years ago, on Oct. 6, 1986, the Leesburg, Virginia estate of then presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche was surrounded by hundreds of FBI agents, U.S. Marshals and local law enforcement officers, with accompanying helicopters and armored vehicle carriers, somehow miraculously preceded by all of the mainstream news media, in a raid which included a plan to assassinate him. President Reagan ordered the Bush/Weld DOJ to back off, which thankfully averted any bloodshed, but which nonetheless led to a phony trial and conviction of Mr. LaRouche and over a dozen of his associates, who would spend years in prison, obviously preventing Lyndon LaRouche from being a major contender in the 1988 presidential election.

LaRouche would later write in a 2004 article entitled, "The Night They Came to Kill Me," that one aspect of the intent to eliminate him was “my opposition to the so-called "utopian" military doctrines currently associated with "beast-man" Dick Cheney…” and “my intention to reverse the folly of the past forty years' downward drift of the U.S.A., from the world's leading producer nation, to today's predatory mess of Roman Empire-style ‘post-industrial’ bread and circuses.”

The most powerful action in the face of this assault on our Republic from abroad would be the full exoneration of Lyndon LaRouche, and the implementation of his policies.

Schumer’s “six ways from Sunday” will then all lead to the dog house for him and his British masters.
