Children Have a Right to Innocence

The purpose of education is not to create slaves and robots, but to create the conditions, through play and scientific and artistic endeavors, where children mature into adults capable of trusting their own good judgment, and who contribute to future generations the possibility of a better life for a growing population. Such adults will be capable and worthy of self-government, as our founders intended.
